For the math based projects, I have the students to do their projects on posters, so that it can be nice and neat and can be easily seen outside of the classrooms. I have them use markers and glitter markers to help decorate their project to make a statement. The students use scissors and glue to cut and paste objects that they want to put on their posters. For the survey project, the students have to create a pie chart for their poster. The protractors will help the students draw the perfect circle for their graph. Our class uses pencils not only to calculate math problems for the project but to trace before using the markers to darken it.
