In my classroom I use two pieces of technology in my curriculum when teaching science. The first piece of technology I use is the Chrome Book cart so the students can access the internet to perform virtual labs and research. Unfortunately the cart assigned to the science wing does not have a printer so the work the students complete cannot be printed and handed in to the me. The virtual labs especially have graphs and visuals of the data they collected that illustrate the content taught in class that help them see the relationships they are studying. By ordering a laser monochrome printer for the cart the students will be able to print their lab reports and research. The second piece of technology the students use in my classroom is the Lab Quest to collect data in experiments but they have no way to print off the graphs and data tables to display the findings. By purchasing a laser color printer for the classroom they will be able to link the Lab Quests to the printer to print off the data tables and the graphs to include in their lab reports. This allows them to see the relationships of the content taught in class with the application of the experiments they performed in lab. Because color ink is more expensive, this printer will be reserved for just the Lab Quests.
