Our school day begins at 7:30 A.M. and ends at 3:05 P.M. My students have a hard time sitting still in a desk for long periods of time, causing them to lose focus on the task at hand. With flexible seating, they will be able to find a place to focus and dive into learning each and every day. My students will be able to discover and decide what helps them learn while I am able to ensure their academic needs are being met. I have asked for items to help introduce my students to flexible seating options within our classroom. They will be able to use the mats and lap trays to spread out and find their own quiet place to focus while working, or join a community table and sit with the stools and yoga balls to keep them focused on learning. I am excited to watch my students learn and grow with the help of these items in our classroom. Flexible seating in my classroom would allow students to be comfortable in their learning environment, without the thoughts of "when will the next break be."
