These materials will allow me to start a Makers Space in the Library Media Center at my school. My students will have the opportunity to explore and create as they build structures using the Brain Flakes, EMIDO Building Blocks, and the Magnetic Tile Building Blocks. My students love learning using hands-on materials. My classes K-5 will benefit from all these STEM materials. I will use library books to connect economics and the different jobs of engineers. A Makers Space will give my students opportunities to think creatively and to explore. My students will use decision making skills as they collaborate with their classmates. These are all important skills for all my students.
