Who wants to sit in a desk for 5-6 hours a day? My students become very fidgety having to sit in their desks all day. I am asking for help to get these flexible seating arrangements in order to reduce stress/anxiety on my students. My students this year are very active! They love to move around the room to do their independent work, silent reading, and other assignments throughout the day. If my students don't release their energy by moving around the room to work then I find them tapping anything they can, whether it be a pencil or their fingers. This causes distractions to students around them and myself. I want to reduce the distractions by setting up areas around the room for them to release their energy while completing their work. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievements. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand. I want to offer them a more comfortable spot rather than sitting on the floor or the rug.
