Having access to laptops could make the world of difference for my students, I want to prepare my kids for the future but I can’t do that without access to technology of today. For example, there are online lab resources where my students can virtually study the effects of different human activities on the world. Phet, a Colorado University on-line website offers physics labs on abstract topics which make visualizing these higher level concepts easy. YouTube is one of my favorite resources but when I show an entire class a video there are a lot of distractions but utilizing stations allows my students to have structured and focused one on one time with different activities.
