Flexible seating provides so many benefits to my students' learning. It allows them to make the best decision for how they will be successful that day. These wobble stools and the couch will help me bring the first full flexible seating classroom in my school. Currently I have a variety of desks that have bounce bands on them that students can use to help them move when they need to. My students also have the flexibility of standing and/or sitting on the floor when needed. The flexible seating options that I am requesting will not only give my students more options, but it will help them become more successful. On days where students are allowed to work with a partner and allow them to choose where in the room they get to work, they are engaged and focused so much more. These flexible seating options will greatly increase these options. I have seen how the little bit of flexibility I have been able to give my students currently helps them. I am looking forward to seeing what additional success and benefits will come from adding these seating options and hopefully making flexible seating the new norm in my classroom and school.
