One of the best ways to reach students is through the integration of technology, and the most enriching and fulfilling way I've found is through 3D Printing! Not only does it provide students with a concrete result of their hard work, but also connects content from social studies, science, math, engineering, and technology! When students can see, touch, and manipulate their historical re-creations in the classroom, it gives them a (literal) touchstone to the past and the future! The printer I've chosen is a solid, middle-of-the-road model, and the filaments are versatile enough to make anything! I'm looking forward to helping my students bring past cultures and history back to life, allowing my students to feel, see, touch, and build on what came before with the technology that's becoming the most relevant to their future!
