I replaced a teacher that took her entire library with her. Because of that, my students have very little books available to them in my classroom. First year teachers simply do not have the means to develop a classroom library in a week's time and ultimately, it becomes quite expensive. My hope is to develop a quiet area with many books for the students to become engaged in reading. I plan to add pillows and eventually lounge seating so that they may be able to comfortably read. My vision is to have a full bookcase with a variety of books for my students to chose from.
