These kits will be for the advanced students in my Computer Apps elective who have shown proficiency in coding. With these starter kits, the students will be able to move on to more advanced "maker" projects utilizing our 3D printers, perhaps even founding a robotics team. The only resources available right now are online coding tutorials, 3D printing software, and Chromebooks. The students will pair the Arduino kits with retired, offline computers to do the majority of the coding. The students will also be learning Linux as an alternate operating system to the WIndows 7 machines. I can't wait to see them take the code and build a real-world machine or electronic device!
