My students are bright, special people who deserve a chance in this world. They come from many situations: some are homeless, others get scuffed around from family member to family member, half don't sleep at night out of fear, many witness parents going from partner to partner, etc. Our school in an inner city K-6 public charter school. All of my students receive free or reduced lunch and are African American or Hispanic. They have rough backgrounds and need a lot of love and support. Working in an inner city school was the best choice I have ever made.
