My students NEED time to interact with their peers. This listening center will allow for a way for our students to interact with their classmates as they work together! In this station students will be able to listen to music and analyze the music using terms they have learned throughout the year. Using stations in my music classroom allows for our students to think, reflect, and verbalize what we are learning. Children are social learners and NEED time throughout the day to team up with peers! Social interactions help our students grow and will teach ways to positively contribute to their learning. Through social and emotional opportunities, our children will gain the skills to collaborate with peers. The materials used in this station will allow for their Language Arts growth as they need to read, write, and verbalize their learning. In addition to their Musical and Language Arts growth, our self contained classroom for children with autism will have a resource to be able to use in my classroom.
