Many of my students come from backgrounds with limited available technology. The computers in the library are currently 11 years old and there is not enough hardware for individualized computer learning. These ChromeBooks will be used in information literacy lessons with a focus on digital citizenship. Students will use our World Book On-line database and eBooks to conduct research. These ChromeBooks will provide my 2nd-6th grade students with opportunities to learn digital citizenship while at the same time building critical research skills. I hope to increase the available technology in the library to lead my students to be 21st century learners. My students need as much exposure to technology as possible to keep pace with their peers.
