At the school where I work, I am the third or fourth music teacher within a year and a half. That means that the students have not had the stability that they need in the classroom and have not had the opportunity to create and perform music. I hope to be a positive light in my student’s lives and they are all hoping we will obtain a piano soon. I see so many of their faces light up, faces of students who walked in the room crying. Help me help them!! If we have a piano in our classroom, I can easier accompany the students, but also teach them so sing at a faster pace. Right now, I have my own voice and my guitar from home. Each time I bring it out to play, the students seem mesmerized and love to hear instruments along with a voice.
