My students come from an area where education is highly valued. They spend 90% of their day in the public classroom and tutoring outside of the school. They are not Title one but come from hard working families that often share homes to save on costs. Even though the families do not have a lot of money, they will use what they have on their child's education. Unfortunately, this means the students are not exposed to other areas. They miss out on sports, traveling, scouts, and extra-curricular activities. They have limited resources that are required for background information.
