At the end of this year, each of my seniors will read a book that they researched and chose on their own. This is the first opportunity that most of my students have had to pick a book that they want to read when it comes to their education. The point of this project is not only for my students to have a say in their education, but to open them up to the world of reading. I was lucky enough to do this with my seniors last year, and I can say it meant the world to them. I have had so many students come up to me with more books that they have picked up since this project and have even asked to borrow books from me because they have a new-found love for reading. I am hoping my current seniors will feel the same after this project!
