Students will use the camera and recording equipment to explain the roll of pollinators in agriculture. This class is a problem based learning class where students learn of a issue facing our world today and complete a design challenge that will help provide a solution. Modern education goes beyond just studying a problem, it also has students working find solutions. The Art and Design class provides students a place where they develop solutions to world issues and publish their findings through the lens of artistic creation. They will create realistic drawings of pollinators and explain how the entomology of the insect aids in the pollination process. Then they will be building a ceramic vertical garden that grows plants that support the native pollinator population. The students will use the camera equipment to showcase pollinators in action in our pollinator garden. Students will create a DIY tutorial for how to build a pollinator garden in your local area and provide information for how to find the right plants needed to support the pollinators that are local to one area.
