Critical thinking is one of today's most sought after workplace skills and is a crucial tool for students to be successful at life. To help enhance my students' ability to solve problems, evaluate solutions, produce evidence based arguments and communicate efficiently I am changing my traditional approach to teaching to an inquiry based strategy with more emphasis on STEM curriculum. In doing so, it is my hope that my students will improve in not just the science classroom but in other subjects as well and even in their overall ability to thrive outside of school. Ultimately, the addition of Chromebooks to my classroom will enhance the engagement level of my students in our journey of becoming an inquiry based classroom while incorporating more STEM related activities. Students will use the Chromebooks as a tool to research and develop solutions to real world problems in order to gain knowledge on the recommended Next Generation Science Standards content. In terms of STEM education, I am highly interested in utilizing the CoderZ curriculum, an online learning environment where students worldwide learn STEM by coding virtual 3D robots, which will require student groups to each have a Chromebook. Please help my students become critical thinkers and increase their STEM experience by donating to our project. Technology is a necessary component of education during this era and due to limited resources in our school we desperately need your help in purchasing these Chromebooks.
