Standing is great for concentration and circulation. Good posture leads to better involvement and comprehension in the classroom. This alternative isn't for all students, but I feel as though there are at least 3 students in each of my sections of English who would benefit from the option to stand at a desk during class. Some teens have grown too big to fit into the desks we currently use (attached chairs to desks, so the space to squeeze in is limited). As an English teacher, I love to do group work and moving those hefty desks is a pain (they are very heavy) and a waste of valuable learning time. Please consider donating to help my students have options and to take charge of their own concentration and learning!
