My students need hot plates, measuring cups, test tubes, molecular models, books, and kits for research. Our students will use these materials to expand the curriculum and perform science experiments in the classroom with a focus on scientific inquiry, research, inventions, and discoveries. These science experiments will help the students in developing their skills at goal-setting, planning, and problem-solving. My vision is that by doing these hands-on activities kids will nurture their intellectual curiosity, acquire new ways of asking questions and will understanding the world around them. We will use these materials throughout the day while they learn new concepts in Science and Math, and for their Bilingual Research Center time. Your generous donation to our project will improve our fifth grade science learning environment and will help develop Tulsa's future scientists, explorers, engineers, thinkers, questioners, and problem solvers. This will change our students' lives for the better. They will love school, experience failure in a safe environment, and feel success at an early age having fun while learning science!
