Sometimes it is hard for students to connect to what they are reading, but when a teacher can incorporate an engineering challenge with it, reading instantly becomes more fun. By donating to our project, you will not only help to increase student excitement for hands on learning, but you will also increase their desire to read. These STEM Literacy kits will allow for students to work collaboratively in groups of 3 or 4 to find a solution to a story book problem. Students will also be able to make literacy connections to the text by retelling and providing inferences to the stories.
