In my classroom, students learn science and social studies in ways that promote Agency, Authority, and Identity. Meaning that the goal is for students to begin to take ownership in their work. In order to do this, I try to inspire my students to be independent and critical thinkers. One way that helps students gain a sense of independence, is through flexible seating. Having Chromebooks in the classroom will allow students to learn what it means to be a researcher. Once again, this will help with inspiring AAI attitudes. Especially because of the socio-economic status of most students, electronics are only able to be accessed while at school. Having said that, providing my students with easy access to electronics, will allow them the opportunity to persevere in this day and age.
