My students need hands on manipulatives to help with learning math concepts. By using concrete, tangible materials to model and practice math concepts, my students will gain a better understanding of fractions, division and multiplication. Manipulatives make learning fun and helps to solidify the concepts being taught. The materials I am requesting will be used in both small group and whole class instruction. Students will be able to see how fractions are equivalent, use strips and blocks to add, subtract and multiply fractions. They will be able to use the materials to support independent work for support and confidence building.
