We know the power that comes from learning about ourselves and others. We can use the iPads to connect with real-world people that can enhance the learning taking place in our classroom. It is one thing for me as a teacher to share information, but so much can come out of making our learning more concrete. It isn't always feasible to get an expert into our classroom, but we plan to explore resources and reach out to experts when the opportunity arises. These powerful connections will help us to make a difference in our own community. My students will be able to see faces that look like them, faces that are successful and this experience will provide an example for what they can accomplish in their educational careers. The use of iPads to connect and push the boundaries of our room is magnificent. I know that my students will benefit from the use of iPads, because they will be an engaging component to our daily classroom life.
