These helmets are essential to ensure safety in a variety of activities that we teach in Physical Education and in after school clubs. Our school has programming for ice skating (2nd-6th), broomball, rollerskiing, and boot skating (K-1st) that all require helmets to reduce the potential for head injury. The helmets require upkeep and replacement every few years in order to continue to serve their function. We have had to reduce our supply due to helmets that are missing buckles, separating from the shell, and missing padding. Having helmets that work well allow students to form habits and positive experiences, promoting healthy lifestyles and responsible decision making in the future.
