We all know that when it comes to learning, most kids learn better when they can touch it! These dice sets feature values for each place up to the millions place. Using the place value dice will help them to move away from just worksheets into more real-life problem solving. Using the dice will also allow me to create learning experiences centered around gaming - another plus for my fourth graders! One "problem" with using math manipulatives in class is the management of all these glorious little pieces! Included with this project are individual plastic cups so the students can just "grab and go" and start their learning. Having a larger storage area in my classroom will also help us worry less about clean-up and think more about the math tasks. I purposefully am not ordering one set per student. I want them to use the sets together so that they can continue to have conversations about math.
