The Library Media Center serves as a learning commons to support transformational learning therefore, we have organized the space to facilitate a multitude of needs including a classroom area, independent and group work area, quiet reading space, and creative spaces .The Library Media Program works to promote information and digital literacy for all OLHS students, teachers, and staff. We provide resources to meet the needs of many learning styles and are constantly changing to create environments that are flexible to what the stakeholders need. Last school year we facilitated the teaching of over 425 classes encompassing research, ethical use of information, computer applications, and digital literacy. Furthermore, we accounted for over 20,000 student check-ins last year, in which students benefit from open access to the library and came to work in the LMC during It's Academic, lunch, and after school.
