The acrylic paints and brushes will allow my students to create paintings that actually show texture with paint on the acrylic paper. I will use these supplies to teach a unit on impressionism and post impressionism. I can also use the paint to do other projects using utilitarian concepts and 3D works. Most of my students do not have any type of supplies in their home so these supplies will expose them to visual arts in ways they would normally not have. The easels will be used in every class I teach from K-8 and not just for painting. Many of my younger kids need to stand to focus better. The easel will allow them to stand ergonomically and focus on the work in front of them. I will also be able to use them to do in-house art shows and displays in our media center for our staff, students families to enjoy. These will be items we use for years with hundreds of students to come. My students have expressed a lot of interest in painting and have continued to shock me at their talent and abilities! My art program is funded on fundraising. Without the help of generous donors, we can not afford the cost of painting materials. Please help me to get my students the supplies we need for a successful art program.
