Students love a variety of activities in class. It keeps them entertained and helps students with different learning styles work with Spanish in a way that suits their abilities. Reading is a great way for students to work on language comprehension and vocabulary recognition. It gives students an opportunity to see language in a different way, which with good literature, grabs and maintains their attention. The aim in my class in not only to promote reading comprehension but to provide something they enjoy reading. La fiesta Fatal is an interesting and dramatic story. Students love that they can read and understand these types of books while maintaining interest in the story. It gives them confidence in their Spanish reading and comprehension ability. We don't have a lot of opportunities to get a set of books that will interest our students, however La fiesta Fatal is a great book I believe will really enhance our classroom experience and bring enjoyable learning opportunities to a great group deserving of our support.
