Two bookcases paired with book bins creates an organized book nook that's simple for students to find what they're looking for! The tops of the bookcases can also be used to display a particular genre and even some favorite student-reads! An organized book nook will welcome the readers in my class to pick up their next novel (and the next, and the next, and the next...). The goal this year is to encourage my curious 5th graders to find novels that are reading-level friendly and inspirational. I want my students to know that reading is more than the opening of a book; reading can take you places, reading can open new doors, reading can inspire. Giving my students an organized book nook will foster just that. When students enjoy learning and are engaged, the academic gap will begin to decrease.
