Students will be using engineering problem solving to create mannequins for their wearable apparels. These mannequins will be created by wrapping the model in their team with cling wrap and duct tape. After the team member is wrapped well then the mannequin mold will be cut off and then re-taped closed. Then each mannequin mold will be finalized by being filled with the great stuff pro to fill a solid supportive structure to hold their recyclable apparel. The students will also be using the dowel rods and wood bases to create the standing support for the mannequin mold. My students will be working towards creating recyclable apparel that is made to be worn by a team member in their group. These recyclable apparels will be created over the mannequin mold the group made. The extra supplies needed are for supporting materials for the attachment of recycled items gathered to create the clothing items. In this project, students will be using real-life problem-solving skills and be learning about a new art career in fashion design.
