Students are in rural classrooms all over North Carolina. Though we primarily meet through virtual classroom technology, I do visit each of their schools every semester. The students completed a mini-unit on robotics and sensors and while I visited, they programmed different types of robots to do various things. Some of the applications included recording acceleration when throwing fastballs and the robot shown above, which played Marco Polo independently with another robot after some clever programming by students.
