My students will be completing a service project called Birthday in a Box in March. It's not always possible for parents who are struggling to just get by to celebrate their child's birthday in a special and meaningful way. By participating in the Birthday Giving Project, students will be helping to provide that important experience for a family with less by making them a "Birthday in a Box". Boxes will contain a boxed cake, a can of icing, a birthday banner, a book, a bag of candy and snacks, and a $15 gift. What I am funding specifically is 82 books, more specifically "Wonder" and "Number the Stars." These books are widely used across fifth and sixth grade curriculum across Ohio.
