Reading is vital for my students and having these materials in the classroom will enable students to read in moments of free time. Going to the library weekly does not provide them enough time to enjoy reading resources and develop a real love for books. My students need the opportunity to practice their reading skills. Many do not have a literate adult in the home. This will give them the chance to have assisted reading time. The choice for hardback books means that they will withstand use for years to come. A bookcase provides an easily accessible and enticing area for learning.
