I will be able to use Pax by Sara Pennypacker in a many different ways. I will be able to teach our state's standards about author's craft, plot, conflict, and character using a newer book that will interest students. This book has an edge that so many of our classroom novels don't have, it appeals to the young men in our classes, rather than just the young ladies. Pax is one of the books that has the power to make both girls AND boys WANT to read. All of my students need reading options that are interesting to them, and has relatable yet exciting plot elements that keep the students emotionally involved.

About my class
