My school has around 1,000 students--57% on Free and Reduced lunch--all who use the library. The most popular books usually have a large waiting list and my classroom library has been good, but not quite enough. The option of new books with varying levels and interests will entice many students to come back for more. The diverse titles and genres will help students choose a book that is just right for them. In Language Arts, "Just Right" books are necessary for students to be successful. We use our books to practice analyzing. The classroom library supports students who cannot get to a public library, students who have school library fines, as well as students who read so much, they need extra options.
