I am requesting a set of headphones for my classroom. The headphones are inexpensive and would be a great addition to our classroom. As they go hand in hand with our reading program. The students in my class are struggling readers. Most of the students are at least two-grade levels behind. Headphones will help them in listening to a story without distractions from their neighbor. They will actually be able to hear the words that are being read to them without hearing what their neighbor is reading at the same time. Another plus is that the students will be able to record themselves and then listen to the recording to see how well they are doing with their reading ability. With the use of headphones, we will be able to help the students with their fluency, word recognition, and comprehension.
