My students will be working with classroom teachers to fill manipulative orders for their STEAM lessons. They will create and develop manipulatives for STEAM challenges that teachers or my students can administer. For instance, if the math teacher would like to use manipulatives to deliver a lesson on fractions, students in my classroom will meet with the teacher and discuss 3D print prototypes available to assist him/her. My students will then fill the order in our print lab and deliver to the teacher and her class. They will also be available to assist with the teacher's lesson. This type of student-teacher relationship and discussion of ways to develop lessons, is the ultimate form of applied learning.
