My students need three wobbly stools and two floor cushions as seating options. Flexible seating such as wobbly stools and floor cushions will enable my students to sit comfortably, while still allowing for movement and getting those "wiggles" out as they focus on their work. As a classroom teacher, I see that behavior problems typically occur when a child's movement is restricted. It is not natural for a child to sit in a chair, perfectly still, for the entire school day. This is where flexible seating comes in. Along with being able to move more freely during work time, students also feel as if work time is more "fun" if they have a seating option other than a basic chair.
