In our school we have very few resources that enable students the ability explore science. With the materials that I have requested, I hope that my students will embrace science and learn to explore and question it. In our unit on electricity, students should explore circuity and the relationships of one item to another. This can be accomplished through the robotics materials. In our unit on simple machines, students will be able to construct different types of machines with the assistance of Lego materials. Then a challenge will be given to create a machine that can do a task in a complicated manner. This is something that Rube Goldberg had done and continues to challenge students to the same. These are just two projects that I hope my class is fortunate enough to explore.
