Very young learners are developing their knowledge and understanding of the alphabet. Teachers can help develop this understanding through offering lots of fun activities that help students explore alphabet letters and sounds. I am asking for a variety of materials for preschoolers to learn their letters that will create a passion and confidence for learning that will go way beyond their first years of school! These materials, particularly All About Letters Pocket Chart, Alphabet Mystery Box, and Hear Myself Alphabet Sound Phone Center will give my students a multi-sensory understanding of letter names and sounds. Because my students don't have the same access to early experiences to language and literature as those in more affluent homes, these materials will help level the playing field.
