My students are really starting to get serious about their math, especially when it comes to money! The play money will help my students get hands on experience with counting, and the cash register will help them get actual purchasing practice. This is a win-win situation if you ask me. I can already picture the excitement on their faces! Right now I don't have any calculators for the students to work with, even though our math curriculum has activities specifically made for calculators. The calculators I am requesting for this project will help me make sure that every one of my students will have a calculator of their own to use. This is HUGE and will make such a difference in my classroom.
