Chromebooks are the device of choice for the district, which involve simple typing but not-so-simple editing. The included finger-pad mouse works well for basic navigating and editing, but the world today is going to require more than that. To make their mark on the world and workplace, students need to know how to create, edit and customize. I am more project-based and want students to analyze through original images, videos, and explanations. These are difficult to accomplish with a finger-pad mouse. Having a traditional mouse available in class will provide a more streamline system and hopefully more motivation to succeed.
