The students I teach are some of the most dynamic middle schoolers on the planet! These students are curious about their future and how technology will impact it. I teach using the Whole Brain Theory-(WBT). Therefore, we activate all of our senses to communicate and learn each day. This year we incorporated interactive notebooks coupled with Cornell notes. Technology note taking has become a fun project for the students. The courses that I teach are online and at least 42% of the students do not have internet or computer access at home. Eighty-seven percent of the students at my school receive free or reduced lunch. These students are hard-working middle schooler that want to do better than the generation before them. The education that they are receiving in my class is purpose-driven with hands-on activities to cultivate job and interpersonal skills required to advance in a global marketplace.
