My students get off the bus everyday excited to be at school! I teach a Multi-Handicapped Class for students with multiple disabilities at a Title I School. All of the students at my school receive free lunch with a high percentage of students coming from low-income families. My students love school and know how to have a good time. If you walked in my class first thing in the morning you would probably hear music, laughter, and maybe even see some dancing! My class serves students with a range of wide range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, seizure disorders and more. I have students who are non-verbal and use sign language as well as pictures to communicate. My students are amazing and have a range of abilities that we want to see blossom.
