Flexible seating will give the students opportunities to learn in an environment that is conducive to learning. I don't want their days to consist of just sitting at a desk on a chair, staring at the board. Learning should be fun and comfortable. I would love for my classroom to feel like another home to my students. There is never enough money in the budget to order the fun stuff and I would love for my students to experience some non-traditional learning before I retire. I would like stability ball stools to put around my teacher table, which will make every child excited to sit with me in a small group and work. I would also like to lower one of my center tables and replace the chairs with pillows so they can sit on the floor, while still cooperatively working at the table during centers. Flexible seating will do all of that and more. Productivity will increase dramatically. I can't wait for my students to try it.
