I would like to incorporate more math games to help increase student engagement. Math Workshop in my classroom will be an exciting way to bring math lesson alive. Students will rotate through four stations, one of which is the hands-on station. My goal is for students to have that time to develop a deeper understanding of math content (TEKS) and to be able to carry over what they learned in math class into workshop day. This will also be the perfect time for collaboration, peer tutoring and support, and fun with a little friendly competition while we learn. I would love to be able to provide my cubs with math games including: Pop to Win, Bingo, and Tower of Math to support and reinforce their learning instead of the usual black and white foldable or handouts. I know they would absolutely love that station if given the opportunity to do something different.
