In my specialized reading class we work at a fast pace to get in the most decoding skills. The class is broken up for more individualized teacher lead instruction. When they aren't with me they work independently to reinforce their skills. Workbooks can be dull and confusing. We have found productive and fun computer reading programs. Just 6 Chromebooks are needed to help my students maintain their reading skills. Sharing chrome carts in school means that there are days when my students aren't effectively using the time we have. Having these chromebooks at all times would make such a difference with comprehension, grammar and word attack skills.
