My students are so full of life and enthusiasm! They have great personalities, they're hilarious and love making music with me in my music class. Unfortunately, however, this is very inner city Washington, D.C. - so the school's student population is 100% on free and reduced-price lunch. Many struggle with immense stress from their home lives. Often, this stress manifests itself in depression and aggressive behavior. But they are great, resilient children who want to learn and make a difference!
