My project is to purchase trombone mutes that are needed for our jazz contest set of music! These mutes will remain at our school so students for many, many years will be able to use the mutes. We will also use the mutes in concert band as called for. We also need brass mouthpieces for our advancing students. As stated, 71.5 % of our students are free/reduced lunch. They can't afford their own instrument or their own mouthpiece. The school provides instruments for many students in our programs. These brass mouthpieces will be used for our advancing students in high school. We travel with out congas and need the bags to protect them and keep them from getting damaged. We attend 5 jazz contest per year. The conga bags will protect the congas and prevent them from getting scratched or destroyed.
